Wildlife Safari

More remote than Naivasha, Nakuru or Baringo, this soda lake is well worth the effort to visit.

Lake Bogoria’s flamingo population is often greater than Lake Nakuru.

These birds move between the soda lakes throughout the Rift Valley, and the waters of Bogoria play host to huge flocks that cover the lake edge in swathes of living pink. This dramatic spectacle makes a perfect backdrop for the Lake’s incredible geothermal springs and abundant wildlife.

Zebra and gazelle are easily seen around the Lake shores. Searching the higher, forested areas may reveal Buffalo or the rare Greater Kudu. This is one of the last reserves of this huge antelope with striped flanks, saucer ears and impressively large twisted horns.

Birders will find plenty to see all around the lake. There is a large population of African Fish Eagles, preying almost exclusively on flamingo.

You'll need a private vehicle to see game here.
